Our Story
Built by a teacher who wanted better - and could not find it.
Accingo started with a frustration every teacher knows: professional development that has nothing to do with what happens in your classroom tomorrow. The workshops were too long. The content was too generic. And the topics that would have changed everything - how students actually learn, how to evaluate AI honestly, how to build a sustainable career - were never covered.
We talked to hundreds of teachers around the world. The need was the same everywhere: not more content, but better knowledge. Not more hours, but more relevance. Not more certificates, but proof that the learning actually changed practice.
So we built it. We named it Accingo - Latin for "to equip" - because that's what real professional learning should do.

We developed a school dashboard that generates in-person PLC recommendations and discussion questions from what teachers are actually doing on Accingo. No scoring or judging: just important questions and topics to bring into collaborative time.

We refreshed the homepage hero with clearer messaging for teachers and schools, quick jumps to Teacher Token Trail and What Teachers Know, and a week-with-Accingo photo strip from Monday through Friday.

We launched What Teachers Know: a searchable archive of teacher interviews and answers, with filters by question and hashtag-style search for topics like parents, AI, and first-year advice.

We added Add your answer so signed-in teachers can pick a core question and submit a written response. Voice memos, short videos, and photos are next so contributing is even easier.

Teachers in the Evaluating AI in Education course reflected that much of the early content focused on conceptual knowledge and common approaches to AI, and asked for more on what integration actually looks like: what they are missing, what to consider, and how a change lands in the rest of their week.
What we did
We restructured the AI course around real teacher workflows: how a change shows up in planning, teaching, and follow-up, what it shifts downstream, and whether the whole workflow still serves students. You can see that systems view on the Courses page under what makes Accingo different.

Teachers felt that most AI courses, and sometimes ours, leaned toward encouraging more AI use, when that is not who we are.

We revised the content for a more holistic picture. Whether you hardline no AI or want to understand it better, you get experiential knowledge and real considerations so you can say and show why, and stay in control of your classroom.

Teachers said they are overwhelmed by frameworks, new research, and competing demands, and asked for a deeper look at what unit planning actually looks like today: alignment, meeting testing and standards, using AI effectively in the planning process, using formative feedback to strengthen plans, and collecting the data they need and that admin recommends.

We have started development of a Unit Planning in Today's Classrooms course (with educators!) that treats planning as a full practice, not a template to fill in.
